CENTER OF EXCELLENCE AS THE NATIONAL PILOT PROJECT FOR SMK MUTU

The Development Assistance Program for the Center of Excellence (COE) in the Engineering and Construction Sector was given to SMK Muhammadiyah Tumijajar through the Rebulic Indonesia Ministry of Education and Culture. The COE program is a follow-up to the National Revitalization Program in 2019.
For 2 days, the socialization will be guided by 2 resource persons. Among them are Mr. Iwan Abdul Rahman, M.Pd. M.M as a companion to the National COE Program and Mr. Ir. Ponidi Sunaryo, M.M. as the supervisor of TO ME Campus.
Today's socialization was guided directly by Mr. Iwan Abdul Rahman, M.Pd ,. M.M. He delivered material which was divided into 3 sessions. First, the Socialization of Learning Development for COE SMK. Second, the Implementation of Block System Learning, Project-based Learning, entrepreneurship-based learning, Dual System based learning in schools and IDUKA, and Learning Outcomes Assessment. Third, the development of a Teaching Factory together with IDUKA.
Based on the determined standards, it is hoped that the curriculum must be prepared based on IDUKA standards so that the COE SMK curriculum is in accordance with the demands of the competencies or work ethic applicable at IDUKA. So, SMK graduates have the competence and culture or work ethic in accordance with IDUKA's current needs.
"Because SMK COE is a Vocational High School which is a Center of Excellence, all the actions taken by the school will be of concern. SMK MUTU can be a driving force and can encourage other schools as well". said Mr. Iwan. The essence of what was conveyed included how the COE Vocational School Learning Curriculum can meet the Industry and World of Work (IDUKA) standards for SMK graduates, competencies at school can be interested to students according to their passion and the use of facilities provided in the form of tools, buildings and teachers can be developed according to their duties and functions.
Mr. Syamsul Hidayat, S.Pd.I as the principal of the TO ME Campus school, said that the program that was given was an achievement and we all have to work together for the realization of SMK COE, SMK Muhammadiyah Tumijajar. May Allah SWT always be pleased with each of our hard works. (asr / adr)
